Americana Extranjera
My film is inspired by three key sources: Sky Hopinka’s Kicking the Clouds, Colectivo Los Ingrávidos, and Sammy Baloji’s AEQUARE: The Future That Never Was. It is a personal exploration of identity, focusing on the sense of division felt by many Mexican Americans; being born in the United States yet feeling homesick for Mexico.
